Restaurant/Places to Eat in Hotel Camelia
Property building in Hotel Camelia
Hotel Camelia is in a great location. About a 9 minute walk from Rome Termini(train station) .From Rome Da vinci airport we took the hour long bus which left us at Rome Termini train station. We got a taxi from the train station for convenience the day we arrived which cost €15 euros. It is walkable but if you are tired from travelling its the easiest .( Taxi driver said he prefers cash by the way.) On checking in the man at reception gave us a map and recommendations of where to go and this was very helpful. The rooms have air conditioning, which was a necessity as we visited in the extremely hot month of August . Food and drinks are not permitted in the room for hygiene reasons however there is an area downstairs where you can eat snacks, there is a mini bar with drinks in the room available however we did not use this so I can't provide any further information on this. The phone charger adapter that we had brought with us did not work and we asked at reception and they kindly gave us a lend of one for the duration of our stay. We had the Breakfast in the hotel which was reasonably priced at 10 euros per person. The cappuccino was very nice and there was a good selection of foods and beverages to choose from. The bathroom had a bath, shower toilet, bidet and sink. There was a nicely scented shower gel/soap. Fresh towels were provided daily.. There is a 100 euro pre authorisation taken upon checking in and city tax fees on check out. We were aware of this from reading other reviews before travelling so it did not come as a shock as we were expecting this. I would definitely recommend this hotel as it was clean comfortable and convenient and staff were all very friendly and helpful

Anna

It was nice size , not too big , not too small. The hotel staff were super friendly throughout my stay !! In particular Allessandro was extremely welcoming and attentive - giving directions to local gelato and restaurant places and a overview of Rome in general!! & the place and facilities were all really great - I loved that I had a little balcony out from my room !! When I had a little problem with the shower they came to sort it right away. Really great service!!

Hotel Camelia is located very close to the Roma Termini train station, so this was super convenient. We found it to be a quieter neighborhood vs some of the other areas we explored during our stay. Most of the tourist sites are not within a comfortable walking distance, but Uber, taxis and the Metro were good options close by. The bed was larger than expected (US King size) and the overall space in the room was large for a European city hotel.

The room was cleaned daily. They changed toiletries, towels etc. everyday. Besides, it was very close to Termini and surprisingly it wasn’t crowded at all. The area was totaly safe as there are some carabinieri stations around. All the staff was very helpful as well. Mr. Gino in the reception provided us a map which he worked on dilligently. Also, there is a huge supermarket near the hotel that you can use to get anything you need.

Arslan

The room was cute and well appointed. It was also very clean. The hotel is about a 10-15 min walk from Termini station/ or a minutes walk from the nearest bus station. The front desk staff was amazing. Appreciate them going out of their way to help whenever needed. We left our bags at the hotel after checkout and went back in the evening to collect them. They called a cab for us to go to the airport, that was very convenient.
